End of Term Pre-School Pirate Party

Every year the Merchistoun Minnows Pre-School has a special End of Term Party for the Children, Mums and Dads,  celebrate the term gone by.   This year we had a Pirate Party!

Shiver me timbers … what a fantastic crew of Pirates who will safely navigate us on the good ship “Minnows” to the Pre-School Party!

Then we had a visit from a friendly Falcon …

… who brought his friend the wise Owl.  The younger pirates got to pet the animals and some of the Mums and Dads held the birds of prey.

There were burgers and sausages for everyone!

 

The good ship Minnows laid out a fabulous feast for the hungry Pirates!

Then our younger Pirates lined up to be judged for the ‘Best Dressed  Pirate’ competition!

Shiver me timbers, well done children!  A fantastic time was had by all.

The Hawkshop opens at Merchistoun Hall

Falconry courses for beginners – a no-frills down to earth approach to the taming, training, flying and welfare care of hawks and falcons is now available at Merchistoun Hall.

The Hawkshop is now resident in the grounds of Merchistoun Hall and opens as a regular feature from Saturday 30th July 2011 and runs on Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

A variety of Birds of Prey will be on display, flying demonstrations will also be given – the public can to get up close to these beautiful birds whilst under the expect supervision of The Hawkshop.

The Hawkshop is involved in falconry and raptor conservation and are affiliated with the Association for the Conservation of Indian Raptors.

Merchistoun Minnows Pre-School Video

My son provided the narration for this short video in 2010 in which talks about his time at Merchistoun Minnows Pre-School and how it prepared him for “Big School”.

Supertroopers “Fundraise4Fees” Fundraising Show

Friday September 23rd starting at Starting 7pm (doors open at 6.45pm)

Admission, in advance or on the door is £4.50 and £3.50.

The Bar will be open and we will also be hosting a raffle.

Featuring music, dance, and stand up comedy!

Peter Pan Theatre Trip

Merchistoun Youth Arts is looking to run a trip to see this magical production at the Mayflower Theatre Southampton. Daniel Boys as Peter Pan, Les Dennis as Smee, the dashing Ben Richards as the dastardly Captain Hook, and Lucy Benjamin as Mrs Darling.
