Stepping Stones Information

Stepping Stones is a volunteer experience driven / mentor support programme which will guide and prepare you on your journey to become work ready.

Through an appropriate volunteer placement, we will assist you in building your skill-base through tasks / ‘Stepping Stones’.

You will gain experience and support through volunteering and this will in turn, build development opportunities for your return to work.

Volunteering will provide you with the essential experience you require; either to promote or develop your profession or to use the experiences to give you a more rounded skill-set, or perhaps even provide inspiration for a complete career change!

Easter fun day at Merchistoun Minnows Preschool

Thursday 11th April was Merchistoun Minnows Preschool’s Easter Fun Day.

Over 60 children attended our Easter Fun day which included,

Cakes, Tea & Coffee for Mums & Dads
Toys and games in our main hall
Easter Crafts in our Preschool Room
Make your own edible Easter Nests and edible Easter Bonnet in the Preschool Room
Easter Egg Hunt in the grounds of our Preschool setting

Every child went home with a Easter Egg, as well as the edible Nests and Bonnets they made during the Easter Fun Day.

HATS Presents, “Good Morning Bill” by P G Wodehouse

Bill Paradene is from an aristocratic family, but is currently caught up in a relationship with the less than aristocratic Lottie. Events take an unexpected turn when a female doctor, Sally Smith, arrives to treat Lottie after a post-tantrum faint. Bill is instantly smitten, but fails to appreciate the doctor’s habit of treating his racing pulse and shortness of breath as medical symptoms. As Bill tries to win Sally over, his golf-obsessed Uncle Hugo and inept friend Lord Tidmouth have plans of their own for Lottie.

Bar will be open from 7.00pm and also during the interval.

This is being performed by Horndean Amateur Theatrical Society in Merchistoun Hall, Horndean. The dates are 25, 26 and 27 April 2013 and curtain up is at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 and are available on the door. Phone 023 9278 5800.
