Welcome the Minnows Pre-school
We aim to enhance the development and education of your children. A rich and varied curriculum provides your child with an understanding of the society in which they take part. A society that is ever changing in many areas.
We provide a safe secure and stimulating environment where your child will have the opportunity to learn through play, socialise, try out new experiences, build relationships and build upon their achievements.
A qualified team of staff is lead (also child protection officer) by our Pre-school leader and deputy (also the school SENCO)
The school meets each morning Monday to Friday during term times 9am - 11.30am.
Parents, carers and relatives are more than welcome to support the pre-school through such activities as: Fundraising; parent rotas; and sharing ideas and expertise.
A mid morning snack is provided. Activities within the pre-school are designed to encourage 'learning through play' familiarising children with the basic principles of learning.
A wealth of resources are available for the children to use: from dressing up clothes or musical instruments; from cookery to large apparatus.
The curriculum offered is planned in accordance with the DFES guidance for the foundation stage. Covering the key areas:
- Personal, social & emotional development
- Mathematics
- Communication, language & literacy
- Knowledge & understanding of the world
- Physical & creative development
The setting is inspected and registered with OFSTED.
